How It Works
Start A Quote
Upload your files to the Fuming Quote Engine. Our team will consult with you to ensure your specifications, lead time, and pricing align with your project requirements. We will provide a DFM report for your approval before beginning tooling.
T1 Sample Approval
Once your project is initiated, we will construct a high-quality injection mold. After mold completion, we will send part samples, known as T1s, for your approval.
Production Begins
Following sample approval, we proceed with production and deliver the finished parts. You retain ownership of the tool and can easily re-order as needed to meet ongoing demand.
Reduce Mold Costs
Fuming offers a diverse range of laminating tooling solutions, including low-temperature tools cured at 180°F, high-temperature aerospace tools processed at 375°F, and ultra-high-temperature laminating tools cured at 750°F using cyanate ester and polyimide materials.
Traditional composite tooling typically relies on complex egg-crate support structures. Tool surfaces are often fabricated from low-temperature, high-CTE foams and then post-cured separately, with residual stresses in the laminate often resulting in dimensional movement.
Through Fuming’s technological advancements, low-CTE foam can now be utilized as a core material and retained within the tool structure, thanks to enhanced inherent stiffness. Furthermore, Fuming eliminates the requirement for source tooling by machining the desired shape directly from solid blocks. By removing the source tooling step, the overall number of processes needed to produce a finishing tool is reduced, leading to lower total tooling costs.
A Chinese Injection Mold Manufacturer with a Difference
Proudly based in Shenzhen, China, Fuming stands out as a local manufacturer known for precision injection mold tooling. We take pride in delivering tight-tolerance, Class A finished components that serve a wide range of markets, from consumer products to government contracts.
What is Production Tooling in Manufacturing?
Production tooling refers to the molds and dies used in plastic injection molding, engineered to withstand the rigorous demands of high-volume manufacturing while maintaining tight dimensional tolerances on every finished component.
Achieving this requires tooling manufacturers to integrate premium raw materials, advanced MoldFlow simulation, sophisticated design expertise, and precision machining techniques. The goal is to build a production tool capable of cycling millions of times without degradation. Not every manufacturer possesses the experience or attention to detail required to deliver this level of quality.

The Basis of Good Tooling Design
Tool design is perhaps the most critical factor influencing both the quality of production molds and the parts they produce. A well-executed design enables efficient cavity filling while ensuring stable and repeatable dimensional tolerances across all part features.
Achieving this consistency over extended production runs demands careful attention to the design and fabrication of the mold’s cooling channels. Proper cooling system design helps the tool withstand the thermal stresses generated throughout thousands or even millions of heating and cooling cycles.
